BlackDogSpeaks review of Liar's Key

Liar’s Key

Liar’s Key

By: Carla Neggers

If you enjoy lies, blackmail, subterfuge, a bit of spy mixed into an old fashioned mystery – then you need to check out Liar’s Key by Carla Neggers.  Her two fantastic characters, Sharpe and Donovan are back to solve another complex and mysterious crime, this one in the quiet coastal town nestled in the heart of Maine’s lobster fishing towns.  In Liar’s Key a legendary agent, Gordon Wheelock of the FBI pays young Agent Emma Sharpe a visit and mentions rumors which set Sharpe’s mind in motion.  Ancient mosaics, an enigmatic and notorious art thief, and her grandfathers art recovery business are all wrapped up in a series of events that turns tragically deadly.

For the avid murder, mystery or crime novel enthusiast, Liar’s Key is a must.  For those looking for a good distraction, a complex plot to get lost in with beautiful scenery, well, it’s also a must.  I very much enjoyed reading the latest from Carla Neggers and hazard to take a guess and say that you will as well.  Somehow, in the midst of a complicated and multi-layered plot, Neggers is courting me with beautiful scenery from the Irish countryside or a quaint Maine fishing village.  Gorgeous scenery come together with a delicious plot to create one hell of a good book.  Do yourself a favor and look into this or any other of the Carla Neggers crime novels and consider them for the other book worms in your life this holiday season.
