Suspicion

Suspicion

By: Joseph Finder

Suspicion by Joseph FinderJoseph Finder has delivered a creative and suspenseful thriller in his new book Suspicion. An ordinary man, a single gather trying to make ends meet while guiding his teenage daughter through the death of his ex-wife, finds himself stuck in a precarious position.  There is only one way out, and it is potentially fraught with danger putting not only his life but those of his loved ones in the sights of dangerous criminals.  Just as life begins to return to normal, Danny’s money begins to run dry.  His daughter is on the verge of being thrown out of her private all girls school which she loves when Danny accepts a generous loan from a mysterious new man in his life, the father of his daughter’s new best friend.  The moment the money makes its way into his bank account his life changes forever.  Life went from quiet to complicated, Danny from honest to duplicitous in an attempt to protect himself, his daughter, and his girlfriend Lucy.  Danny Goodman is approached by two feds after accepting the loan from his new friend.  They explain to him that the friend is actually in the employment of a notorious Mexican drug cartel and threaten Danny with prosecution unless he helps them take him down.  In this innovative thriller, nothing is as it seems.

This books is great.  It has all the hallmarks of a successful thriller but the hero is unlikely and the plotline is ever evolving.  There are multiple times when the reader expects the story to progress in the same direction, and instead it makes a dramatic turn, becoming even more exciting and entertaining.  Joseph Finder’s writing style is creative and fluid.  His book is easy to read and moves at a fast pace which makes it perfect for both the casual and avid reader.  His knowledge base is exhaustive which provides the necessary level of detail, backstory and fresh information.  Joseph Finder’s Suspicion is a great read and I very much enjoyed it.  One of my favorite details about this story is that the hero is very much an unlikely one.  Not a cop, not crime enthusiast or a military background, his Danny Goodman is simply a father that will do anything to protect his daughter and his love.  The supporting characters in this novel are equally intriguing and unique which makes this an overall enjoyable read.  Suspicion is not Finder’s first rodeo, and the success which he has received for his previous works continues to propel him spurr his growth as an author.  Joseph Finder is a name that I will be watching and waiting for in the future.
