Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Make Over

By: Mandy Ingber

YogalosophyWatch any of the day time or late night talk shows recently and you cannot miss all of the buzz about the beautiful Jennifer Aniston and her sexy new role.  She looks amazing and is radiating a glow while gushing positivity.  How does she do it?  And how can we do it too?  If you are like me you cannot afford to hire a personal chef to prepare all of your meals and cook yummy, healthy food or a renowned trainer to kick our butts into shape daily…or can we?  Mandy Ingber, yoga instructor to beautiful stars like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Beckinsale and Helen Hunt has captured her revolutionary process in a 28 day total mind, body and spirit transformation.  It is called Yogalosophy™ and she is bringing it to all of the exceptional people with ordinary salaries like all of us.  Her new book helped to brighten my spirit, lighten my physical load (or body) and make me a happier, healthier person- and I am already a yoga instructor!

Now all of this is not another one of those “fad” workout styles that you try on for a little while and then move on from.  Many Ingber’s Yogalosophy is the foundation you have been seeking, the foundation that you need to really become happy and healthy.  Most of us when we want to loose weight go about it by punishing ourselves with hours at the gym or by starving ourselves with unhealthy diets that we try to convince ourselves are good for us.  Mandy will not scold you or ask you to do anything like that.  She has been where we are, gone through what we are going through and is there throughout every step of this process.  He transformation process is 28 days long because that is how long it takes us to break old and create new habits.  Each one of these 28 days is mapped out in her book.  There is a theme or reading with some wisdom from Mandy, a workout complete with a play list to motivate you and more.  She gives you guidelines for a healthy diet and recipes to help you live it.  Then there are extra credit bits like journaling or exercises to get you changing not only your body but your thought process as well as the way we speak to ourselves.

Yogalosophy will become your new best friend.  You will be seeking Mandy out before and after work, rereading her anecdotes and jotting quotes on post-it’s for your desk.  From day one you can begin to notice change.  You know that you are making an impact on your body physically, your mind – the way you think and speak to yourself and your soul – allowing it to really shine through.  During this whole process it felt like I had Mandy right there in my home with me, speaking to me and telling me what I needed to hear, when I needed to hear it.  This book is not some miracle that you read it and are changed.  Mandy asks a lot of you throughout the book.  But, in return she gives you so much more.  As a mountain biker, skier, and former college athlete I have done my fair share of workouts, as a yoga instructor I have tried multiple techniques to clear the mind, unwind and tap the positive current that runs through the universe.  I have not until now, come across anything so comprehensively positive and changing as this book.  Maybe changing is not the right word.  As you read you will learn that all you need is already within you – no this is not some Yoda quote but the truth: the person you want to be, the weight you want to reach, the thoughts you want to think, everything is already there.  We only have to work to gain the courage to accept it and let it shine through.  Many and her Yogalosophy is the key to doing so.
