By: Heather Graham
The perfect read just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day, Heather Graham’s Flawless is a crime drama that features an iconic Irish pub and family at the center of a dangerous plot. Graham’s latest novel is a gutsy and intense story full of suspense. I have to admit that despite the ridiculous number of crime dramas and novels that I read, in this one, I never saw the ending coming. As practiced and inventive as a diamond thief, Graham sets her main character, Kieran Finnegan in the middle of a dangerous diamond heist. Kieran is trying to return a diamond that her brother had stolen in an attempt to punish the soon to be ex of their best friend, who has been nothing but cruel. Kieran not only survives the ordeal but works to help the FBI, specifically her very handsome special agent, to catch the thieves…only there’s something off about these guys. Kieran and FBI Special Agent Craig Frasier know that the real killers and thieves are still out there. What they don’t know, is that this case hits closer to home for Kieran than she could ever imagine.
Heather Graham’s novel is just plain fun to read. Its adventurous and intriguing, daring and a little steamy. With Flawless Graham will be delighting current fans and finding plenty of new ones. Personally this book took me about three days to read. Its intense but light in that it’s very easy to digest. This makes it a perfect escape from reality on a dreary spring day. Those who are part of a big Irish American family will find familiarity with the Finnegans. Growing up in such a family (albeit with less brothers and more cousins) made me able to relate to Kieran and her brothers even more than other stories. I very much enjoyed this read and will be patiently waiting Graham’s next novel.
