Ancient history clashes violent with the future in the pulse quickening novel Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton. A life of training culminates in a sacred oath ceremony, during this ceremony the secret purpose of their craft is revealed. Trained to fight and kill the initiates are about to take their first trip through space and time, what they’ll learn on the other side however, could change everything. Is everything they have lived until this point really the truth? Or are they being trained for a much deadlier and darker purpose? Three young adults must make their own decisions and choose their own paths after learning the fates that have been decided for them. What ensues is danger, mystery, lies, and a fight for survival in a land no longer recognizable to us readers. Traveling between time and space becomes a very risky business for three young 16 year old’s who must face off against the sinister adults who raised and trained them in Dayton’s Seeker.
