Written on My Heart
By: Morgan Callan Rogers
The beautiful and sorrowful tale of learning love and become a mother, while still searching for answers in the disappearance of her own, Written on My Heart is evocative, emotive. Carley, a young mother of a passionate and stubborn toddler, take a girls trip to get away for a long weekend. What started as a fun and frivolous trip turns into a tragedy when Carley mysteriously disappears. No one, not even her best friend and travel partner knows what happened to her. As the passionate daughter, Florine, grows up craving the love and comfort of a mother she hardly had the chance to know, rebelling against her father, and rejecting a step mother, she never stops searching for answers. Like her mother before her, Florine becomes a mother young and fights to keep her family together while she struggles to let go of the ones she has lost.
An artistically woven tale of love and loss, Morgan Callan Rogers’ Written on My Heart is a lovely book to read. Leave your world behind and travel with her the picturesque little waterfront town in Maine, and dive into this story of passion and sorrow. I very much enjoyed reading Rogers’ latest work and have no difficulty seeing what propelled her to success with her previous book. Written on My Heart is a very unique book, and find it arduous to liken it to any other. I must surrender to my simple plea that you put your trust in my review, and explore the book for yourself.
